Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in enterprise interfaces and system integrations position! This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity and will be hybrid in Charlotte, NC. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience leading enterprise interfaces and system integrations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, multi-system environments and can translate business needs into scalable, well-documented integration requirements across SAP and connected platforms.
This is not a basic documentation role — this is someone who understands data flow, dependencies, upstream/downstream impacts, and how enterprise systems talk to each other.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Integration & Interface Ownership (Core Focus)
- Lead requirements gathering for complex system interfaces and cross-platform integrations.
- Analyze and document data flows across upstream and downstream systems.
- Define integration logic, transformation rules, validation requirements, and exception handling processes.
- Identify system dependencies, data mapping requirements, and integration touchpoints.
- Partner with technical architects and developers to ensure integration feasibility and scalability.
- Document API interactions, batch processes, middleware behavior, and file-based integrations.
- Proactively identify integration risks, data inconsistencies, and cross-system process gaps.
Enterprise Requirements & Process Modeling
- Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and integration specifications.
- Partner with Product Owners to translate integration requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Create current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) process flows using Visio or similar tools.
- Ensure integration requirements align with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and enterprise architecture standards.
SAP & Cross-System Collaboration
- Support integrations involving SAP modules such as FI, SD, MM, IM, EWM, CO, AP, AR, AM, or PCA.
- Understand financial and supply chain data impacts across integrated platforms.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams, technical teams, QA, middleware teams, and third-party vendors.
- Validate that SAP configuration supports defined integration requirements.
Data Analysis & Validation
- Use SQL queries to validate integration outputs and confirm data accuracy across systems.
- Identify discrepancies between source and target systems.
- Develop integration-specific test scenarios and validation scripts.
- Support end-to-end testing across interconnected platforms.
Agile Execution
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Break down large integration initiatives into manageable, development-ready stories.
- Track risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies in real time.
- Support post-implementation monitoring and integration enhancements.
What You’ll Need
Required Experience
- 7–8+ years of Business Analyst experience with a strong focus on system integrations and interfaces.
- Proven experience documenting enterprise-level integrations across multiple platforms.
- Hands-on experience working in SAP environments (S/4HANA preferred).
- Experience analyzing complex data flows between systems.
- Strong understanding of APIs, file transfers, middleware, batch jobs, and event-driven integrations.
- Ability to write detailed integration specifications and technical-functional requirement documents.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Technical & Functional Expertise
- SAP module experience (FI, SD, MM, IM, EWM, CO, AP, AR, AM, PCA).
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience modeling processes and integration flows (Visio or similar).
- Ability to translate UI/UX workflows into integration impacts and backend system requirements.
- Experience supporting QA testing for cross-system validation.

Preferred Skills / Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience with Confluence or Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Exposure to enterprise middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance or master data integrations.
- Experience supporting UI/UX-driven enhancements that required backend integration changes.
Pay Range: $50-$55/hr
