*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our financial client to fill their Python Software Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in New York City (Hudson Yards). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, test, release, and support applications for the US Equity Derivatives trading desk.
• Work directly with the US Equity Derivatives desk on short to medium-term projects.
• Support existing applications and develop new ones based on desk requirements.
• Apply technologies such as Python, Excel/VBA, kdb, C#, and SQL.
• Engage in Agile and DevOps practices with a focus on continuous improvement and early code delivery.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Strong development experience in Python.
• Strong experience with at least some of the following: Excel/VBA, C#, kdb, SQL.
• Basic understanding of equity derivatives at a minimum.
• Experience in all phases of development from requirements gathering to implementation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical teams and trading desks.
• A proactive, continuous learning mindset with a willingness to tackle complex technical challenges.

Pay Range: $60-70/hr
