Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY with 4 days on-site. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Support and lead a development team of 4 contractors within the Mobile and Online Agile Release train
• Own and manage the roadmap and sequencing for the Move Money workstream (mobile check deposits, transfers, and all money movement functions)
• Drive platform modernization initiatives by migrating aged technology to newer, cloud-based platforms and decommissioning legacy systems
• Lead and participate in all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, etc.)
• Coordinate across multiple teams and collaborate with 2 other Product Owners in the Money Movement and Mobile spaces
• Elevate delivery risks proactively and ensure successful delivery for high-profile programs
• Ensure development and testing activities stay on track, influencing teams you don't directly manage
• Report to a Senior Product Owner while maintaining autonomy over your product area

What You’ll Need to Have: 

• 2+ years of Product Owner experience specifically in Money Movement and/or API-focused environments
• Platform migration expertise - proven experience migrating from aged/legacy platforms to modern solutions
• Banking industry experience with strong understanding of financial controls, regulations, risk management, and money movement processes
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience with demonstrated ability to lead ceremonies and work in an Agile environment
• Leadership skills - ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct management authority
• Strong communication skills - clear, effective communicator who can coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment

Pay Range: $50-60/hr
