Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Organizational Change Manager position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.


Position Overview

The Organizational Change Manager develops and delivers change management strategies and plans for medium-sized projects with moderate to large change impacts, particularly within IT initiatives. This role focuses on the people side of change including changes to processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational structures to drive employee adoption and long-term sustainability.

The role partners with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to support enterprise change initiatives and strengthen change management capabilities across the organization.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Apply structured change management methodologies and tools to develop strategies and plans that support adoption and value realization for complex initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to change sponsors, project managers, project teams, and stakeholders to enhance change effectiveness.
  • Integrate change management activities into overall project plans and oversee change-related schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including engagement with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Conduct and analyze stakeholder assessments, change impact analyses, and change readiness assessments.
  • Identify potential barriers and resistance to change and develop mitigation strategies to support organizational readiness.
  • Engage and coach senior leaders on effective change leadership and communication strategies.
  • Develop and manage communication strategies and materials, collaborating with communications teams when appropriate.
  • Provide input into the design and delivery of training programs and learning resources in partnership with Learning & Development teams.
  • Define business readiness and success metrics, monitor change progress, and gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other mechanisms.
  • Develop and implement change sustainability and business transition plans.


What You’ll Need to Have

  • Experience leading organizational change management efforts for IT projects.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences, from employees to senior leadership.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and PowerPoint materials to support change initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership coaching skills.
  • Experience conducting change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and readiness evaluations.
  • Ability to develop and execute communication and training strategies supporting organizational change.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience measuring change adoption through qualitative and quantitative feedback methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


What Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience managing projects or programs in addition to change management responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with formal organizational change management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and leadership groups.


Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr
