Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Warehouse Clerk position! This is a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity and will be on site in Tonawanda, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services during the contract period.
What You’ll Be Doing
Shipping & Receiving
- Assist with unloading inbound shipments, verifying merchandise, and matching deliveries to purchase orders.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging parcels for mailing and coordinating carrier pickups.
- Open and inspect bales, crates, and containers to confirm contents and condition.
Inventory & Material Handling
- Move materials between receiving, storage, shipping, and production areas.
- Sort, label, and store materials on racks, shelves, or in bins based on size, type, product code, or established sequence.
- Assemble and stage customer orders for shipment or relocation to designated departments.
- Accurately record received and distributed materials in the ERP system.
- Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory activities.
- Weigh and count items to ensure compliance with company standards.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance Support
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Use tools such as tape measures and levels to ensure accurate material handling.
- Support general facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
Safety & Quality
- Follow workplace safety protocols and manufacturing safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in all warehouse functions.
What You’ll Need to Have
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, material handling or similar experience.
- Experience using an ERP or similar system (SYTELINE experience preferred).
Technical & Operational Skills
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions.
- Proficiency in basic math required for counting, weighing, and inventory accuracy.
- Experience safely operating forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of general manufacturing and workplace safety standards.

Pay Range: $21/hr
