*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Java Developer position! This is a 6+ month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.  

What You'll Be Doing:

• Serve as a principal application designer, providing expert-level design and direction for new or existing systems.
• Lead complex systems analysis, design, and development as a key individual contributor.
• Guide and coordinate efforts of a team of 2–3 developers on large or small-scale projects.
• Prepare and manage technical components of project plans including estimates, task tracking, and delivery.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and technology teams to ensure high-quality delivery from technical analysis to UAT.
• Conduct debugging, test data preparation, and detailed test execution.
• Analyze complex interrelationships between programs, systems, and platforms; recommend innovative technology solutions.
• Prepare technical and functional specs, charts, tables, and system documentation.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, policies, and development practices.
• Ensure systems are developed in adherence to company risk and regulatory standards.

What You'll Need to Have:

• 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience (7+ years combined education/experience acceptable).
• Strong, hands-on experience with Java and Microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of Cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to coordinate between applications and business units.
• Ability to work on multiple complex projects and drive milestones to completion.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in peer reviews.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes, development standards, and documentation best practices.
• Detail-oriented with lateral thinking capabilities and experience in recommending and implementing systems solutions.

Pay Range: $55-$70/hr +
