Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their SCCM / Endpoint Automation Engineer position! This is an 18+ month contract opportunity and will be on site 4 days per week in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
Position Overview:
- The SCCM Endpoint Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise endpoint management solutions with a focus on SCCM, software packaging, and deployment automation.
- This role partners with cross-functional technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable endpoint infrastructure while translating complex technical and business requirements into efficient, well-structured system implementations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and Manage Endpoint Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise endpoint management solutions using SCCM and related technologies to support large-scale client environments.
- Software Packaging & Deployment Automation
- Develop, package, test, and deploy software using automated deployment processes. Improve packaging standards and streamline deployment workflows to ensure reliable delivery across the enterprise.
- Endpoint Configuration & Lifecycle Management
- Manage operating system deployments, patch management, application distribution, and system configuration to maintain a secure and standardized endpoint environment.
- Troubleshoot Complex Technical Issues
- Diagnose and resolve advanced endpoint, system, and deployment issues across server/client environments, collaborating with infrastructure and support teams when needed.
- Infrastructure & System Design
- Participate in the design and improvement of endpoint infrastructure solutions that support complex applications, system integrations, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into structured, scalable endpoint management solutions.
- Analyze System Requirements and Documentation
- Gather, document, and analyze system specifications and technical requirements to support new implementations and enhancements.
- Collaborate Across Technology Teams
- Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to ensure endpoint technologies integrate effectively with enterprise systems and services.
- Improve Processes and Standards
- Identify opportunities to improve endpoint management processes, automation, and deployment standards to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Provide Technical Expertise
- Serve as a subject matter expert for endpoint management technologies, offering guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and system improvements.
What You’ll Need to Have:

5+ years of professional experience in a technical engineering role involving infrastructure technologies, system design, or complex application environments.

Strong experience with SCCM for endpoint management, software deployment, patching, and system configuration.

Experience with software packaging and automation, including developing and maintaining deployment packages and automated installation processes.

Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure and endpoint issues.

Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions.

Experience working with server/client environments and virtual technologies within enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Ability to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and technical requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and a strong process-oriented mindset to ensure reliable and consistent deployments.
Pay Range: $40-50/hr
