Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Systems Administrator / Application Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide daily production support, incident resolution, and end-user support
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform off-hours implementations as needed
  • Administer and manage on-premise vendor applications (InfoLease and Rapport)
  • Perform application upgrades, patching, configuration, and technical integration tasks
  • Manage Linux and Windows servers, including patching and infrastructure oversight
  • Create and manage data extracts and downstream feeds
  • Develop and maintain solutions using SQL, PowerShell, and Linux shell scripting
  • Support and manage Snowflake and SQL-based data processes
  • Own and execute the full SDLC process, including documentation, testing coordination, and deployment
  • Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible
  • Conduct and support code reviews, smoke testing, certification testing, and deployment activities
  • Collaborate within a 2-week Agile sprint cycle using Jira and Confluence
  • Maintain detailed and thorough technical documentation
  • Support Active Directory (AD), group policies, and user provisioning/access management
  • Partner with Business Analysts and business stakeholders through functional testing and production handoff
  • Support infrastructure and platform initiatives, including potential cloud migration efforts


What You'll Need to Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Engineer, Technical Administrator, or Integration Engineer.
  • Experience managing enterprise vendor applications (InfoLease and Rapport preferred but not required).
  • Strong experience with:
  • SQL and Snowflake for creating and managing data extracts.
  • Shell scripting (Linux) and PowerShell (Windows).
  • Linux and Windows server administration.
  • Active Directory, group policies, and user provisioning access.
  • CICD tooling including GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible.
  • Agile methodologies (Jira and Confluence preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage patching schedules, infrastructure upgrades, and application lifecycle documentation.
  • Experience supporting production systems and end users in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to support off-hour implementations, daily production support, and on-call rotation.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus.


Pay Range: $45-$60+/hr
