Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Systems Administrator / Application Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide daily production support, incident resolution, and end-user support
- Participate in on-call rotation and perform off-hours implementations as needed
- Administer and manage on-premise vendor applications (InfoLease and Rapport)
- Perform application upgrades, patching, configuration, and technical integration tasks
- Manage Linux and Windows servers, including patching and infrastructure oversight
- Create and manage data extracts and downstream feeds
- Develop and maintain solutions using SQL, PowerShell, and Linux shell scripting
- Support and manage Snowflake and SQL-based data processes
- Own and execute the full SDLC process, including documentation, testing coordination, and deployment
- Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible
- Conduct and support code reviews, smoke testing, certification testing, and deployment activities
- Collaborate within a 2-week Agile sprint cycle using Jira and Confluence
- Maintain detailed and thorough technical documentation
- Support Active Directory (AD), group policies, and user provisioning/access management
- Partner with Business Analysts and business stakeholders through functional testing and production handoff
- Support infrastructure and platform initiatives, including potential cloud migration efforts
What You'll Need to Have:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Engineer, Technical Administrator, or Integration Engineer.
- Experience managing enterprise vendor applications (InfoLease and Rapport preferred but not required).
- Strong experience with:
- SQL and Snowflake for creating and managing data extracts.
- Shell scripting (Linux) and PowerShell (Windows).
- Linux and Windows server administration.
- Active Directory, group policies, and user provisioning access.
- CICD tooling including GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible.
- Agile methodologies (Jira and Confluence preferred).
- Proven ability to manage patching schedules, infrastructure upgrades, and application lifecycle documentation.
- Experience supporting production systems and end users in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to support off-hour implementations, daily production support, and on-call rotation.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
Pay Range: $45-$60+/hr
