*Buffalo, NY Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their IT Project Manager/Scrum Master position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with potential extensions and is based in Buffalo, NY. This role is open to local and remote candidates.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Define project approach and build stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments, and changes.
- Manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, communications, budget, and risks.
- Define resource needs, responsibilities, and schedules.
- Work within project controls and procedures.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to project leadership and make recommendations to influence decisions and ensure delivery.
- Align projects with broader program objectives and adhere to methodology.
- Manage the full systems development life cycle of assigned projects.
- Remain current on technical and business strategies relevant to assigned projects.
- Identify process improvements and act as a subject matter expert.
- Engage all key business and technical stakeholders to ensure complete project participation.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, tracking tasks, assignments, and modifications.
- Report project status to executives, document issues, and facilitate resolution.
- Provide performance feedback to project teams.
- Contribute to project management policies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with operational risk controls and internal audit standards.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Prior experience in Wealth and Banking environments.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology and hands-on SCRUM experience.
- 5–8+ years of technical project management experience across business systems and technical development.
- Experience managing global and distributed project resources.
- Background in computer science to bridge technical and business communication.
- Jira and Confluence expertise.
- Experience in Agile practices and leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead project teams, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and application/system development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to work a hybrid on-site/remote schedule in Buffalo preferred.
Pay Range: $60-$70/hr +
