Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their DevOps Infrastructure Engineer position!
This is a direct placement opportunity and will be onsite in MacDill, FL.
No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead geospatial engineering projects from requirements through customer acceptance, serving as project lead for the development of real-time geo-spatial database content for simulation and training systems
- Manage project execution including cost account management (CAM), earned value management, and project scheduling to ensure delivery within agreed-to budgets and timelines
- Communicate directly with customers and stakeholders, delegating work tasks and providing technical oversight and guidance to team members throughout the development lifecycle
- Design and implement geo-spatial database solutions for multiple image generation systems (such as Aechelon, MetaVR, Vital, or Quantum3D) in a collaborative Windows and Linux development environment
- Acquire and manipulate diverse aerial and satellite imagery, elevation data, and vector data to create high-quality 3D models and visual content using industry-standard software
- Drive innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in image science, photogrammetry, remote sensing/data fusion, and spectral/imagery analysis
- Author technical white papers and presentations to document project outcomes and share knowledge across the organization
- Coordinate team development efforts, prioritizing tasks and ensuring solutions align with organizational processes and customer requirements
What You'll Need to Have:
- 8+ years of experience with GIS technology including ArcGIS, acquisition and manipulation of aerial/satellite imagery, elevation data, and vector data
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Photoshop for image cleanup and color correction, plus proficiency in 3D modeling software (3D Studio Max, Maya, or Creator)
- 5+ years of project management and execution experience including proven ability to lead team development efforts and manage projects through full lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree in GIS/Earth Science, related Engineering field, or equivalent professional experience
- Background in one or more specialized areas: Image Science, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing/Data Fusion, Geo-Imaging/Processing, or Spectral/Imagery Analysis
- Experience with database creation for image generation systems and familiarity with workflow management tools (ClearCase, Perforce, Atlassian) and modeling tools (Terra Vista, Creator, Maya)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to delegate tasks, interact directly with customers, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements)
Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000
